In simple term Affiliate Marketing means promoting other people’s product and getting commission when somebody buys that product. As an example take “A” is IPOD Manufacture Company, "B" is retailer and "C" is a customer. C wants to buy an IPOD and he started to search in the internet about the IPOD. C found B’s website and decided to buy an IPOD. So, when C will click to buy C will be redirected to A’s website. Once the transaction is over, B will get a commission. This commission depends on the merchants. In this example B is known as Affiliate. Interesting point is neither you have to pay anything to become an Affiliate nor you have to own your own product.
